Abstract

This article analyses the depiction of the bodies of African Women in Portuguese colonial war literature, drawing examples from the work of Manuel Alegre, António Lobo Antunes, António Calvinho, José Neves, José Martins Garcia, and Vergílio Alberto Vieira among others.
